Rotary's own tribute to their Tree of Light backers
Tree of Light organisers in Shrewsbury are hopeful they can surpass the £5,000 fundraising figure once again this year.
Donations currently stand at around £4,000 which includes gift aid.
And as Shrewsbury Severn Rotary Club reports latest figures for its annual Tree of Light remembrance in Shrewsbury, a tribute has been paid to a local firm whose unbeknown generosity year-on-year helps to make this celebration so highly successful.
For Shrewsbury Severn Rotary Club said today that without the magnanimity of Dyke Yaxley Chartered Accountants, they would themselves need to be considering seeking Tree of Light sponsorship to maintain the project’s on-going effectiveness.
Long-standing club secretary Gareth Watkins said today: “Dyke Yaxley prepare and print off all the donor letters, pay for the outward postage to donors and collate all the
responses ready for me to collect.
“Without their considerable support this fundraiser would be much more difficult to organise year on year.
“On behalf of the Tree of Light arrangement, Rotary cannot thank them enough for all their much-needed backing which now extends over very many years.”
