Having fun and making a difference within the local community by doing, giving and helping
We are an inclusive group of dedicated and experienced individuals who by supporting and encouraging local charities achieve great things for the Shropshire community.
We make lifelong friends, and it is all about trust, strength in community and having fun.
We learn and laugh together, and through our meetings everyone is involved in good humour and service.
We feel truly honoured to be able to make a difference, and we play a significant role in our community.
The Santa Sleigh at Christmas and our many events throughout the year make us well known and loved.
We meet at 6:30pm for 7pm start, on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday each month at The Beaconsfield Club, Meadow Place, Shrewsbury, SY1 1PD

Spotlight Projects of Shrewsbury Severn Rotary Club
All the money raised is used by the Club to support a plethora of local charities and good causes.

History in Brief
The Rotary Club of Shrewsbury Severn started life in Shawbury to the North of Shrewsbury in 1987 and was originally named The Rotary Club of Shawbury and Mid-Shropshire.
However, over the years more and more of our charitable work and donations were directed to Shrewsbury.
In 2016, after much deliberation, the members decided to rename itself The Rotary Club of Shrewsbury Severn, a moniker thought more closely to represent the new position.
About Shrewsbury Severn Rotary Club
The Club currently has 24 members from various walks of life.
The members and their guests (we encourage this) meet on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday each month at The Beaconsfield Club, Meadow Place, Shrewsbury, SY1 1PD.
The other 2 Clubs in Shrewsbury meet respectively at breakfast (Shrewsbury Darwin) and lunchtime (Rotary Club of Shrewsbury).
We enjoy a meal and fellowship, often being entertained by a speaker.

Our Work
We organise a number of fundraising campaigns throughout the year, our primary focus being the Christmas period where we run two major events, the Santa Sleigh and the Tree of Light.
All the money raised is used by the Club to support a plethora of local charities and good causes.
