The Rotary Santa sleigh will be making a total of 21 appearances in the Shrewsbury area over the festive season.
The Shrewsbury Severn Rotary Club Santa sleigh rota begins with the switch on of Shrewsbury town centre lights tonight (Wednesday).

December 4 – Pontesbury 4.00pm-6.00pm; December 6 – Asda 12.00pm-8.00pm; December 7 – Monkmoor 6.00pm-8.00pm; December 8 – Sainsbury’s 12.00pm-8.00pm; December 9 – Morrisons 10.00am-8.00pm; December 10 – Sundorne Avenue 6.0pm-8.00 pm; December 11 – Asda 10.00am-8.00pm; December 12 – Mount Pleasant 6.00pm-8.00pm; December 13 – Sainsbury’s 10.00am-8.00pm; December 14 – Asda 10.00am-8.00pm; December 15 – Morrisons 10am-8.00pm; December 16 – Shawbury 6.00pm-8.00pm; December 17 – Morrisons 10am-8.00pm; December 18 – Asda 10.00am-8.00pm; December 19 – Tesco 10am-4.00pm; December 20 – Copthorne 6.00pm-8.00pm; December 21 – Sainsbury’s 10.00am-8.00pm; December 22 – Morrisons 10.00am-8.00pm; December 23 – Tesco 10.00am-8.00pm; December 24 – Sainsbury’s 10.00am-8.00pm.
Said Shrewsbury Severn Rotary Club Santa sleigh organiser Fred McDonogh: “We shall do our very best to fulfil the whole of the scheduled itinerary which includes a total of 14 days of Santa and the sleigh at the supermarkets in 66 two hourly slots. In addition, the sleigh will be putting in appearances in the villages of Pontesbury and Shawbury as well as performing sleigh runs in the town areas of Monkmoor, Sundorne, Mount Pleasant and Copthorne.”
