Farmers from under-developed countries are being supported by a local Rotary club.
Shrewsbury Severn Rotary is making a further 10 loans each of £60 to entrepreneurs in the farming industries of Cambodia, Zambia, Vietnam, Rwanda and Ecuador.
The loans are made through the Lendwithcare organisation with whom Shrewsbury Severn Rotary Club has been working since February 2013.
Said the club’s international chair Rotarian Chris Allsop: “Supporting farmers in this way helps them to start long-term sustainable projects for the benefit of themselves, their families and local community.”
