ROTARY DAY OUT FOR LOCAL CHILDREN AT DRAYTON MANOR PARK

Around 25 children from a Shrewsbury primary school will enjoy a day out at Drayton Manor Park – thanks to our Rotary club. Shrewsbury Severn Rotary is to spend up to £600 to send a group from The Grange School on June 8. The occasion is Rotary Kids Day Out which is back this year after the pandemic.

It is organised under the auspices of the local Rotary district that includes clubs in Shropshire. Shrewsbury Severn Rotary Club will fund the event which will include the cost of transport as well as allowing around 25 children as well as teachers and carers to enjoy the day out at Drayton Manor Park.

Said club spokesperson Kerry Ferguson: “The day out will be for children who will be selected from The Grange because they would normally have little or no access to this kind of activity and as an extra little treat each of the children will be given a basketball hat on the day.”
