Our Rotary club has now loaned £2,000 to support a number of entrepreneur farmers in developing countries.
Members of Shrewsbury Severn Rotary Club have agreed to six new loans of £60 each to entrepreneurs in the farming industries of Zambia, Ecuador, Vietnam and Cambodia. Loans, through the Lendwithcare organisation with whom Shrewsbury Severn Rotary Club has been working since February 2013, have previously been made to all four countries.
Said the club’s international lead Rotarian Chris Allsop: “Supporting farmers in this way helps them to start long-term sustainable projects for the benefit of themselves, their families and local community.”
