Rotary has recognised the dedication and hard work of the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital’s frontline Covid team – with a surprise gift of 1,000 packets of Mars M&Ms. The ‘chocolate feast’ will be distributed by Nicola Brockley, Charity and Engagement Facilitator, following its delivery to the hospital today (Friday) by Shrewsbury Severn Rotary Club.
The handover was performed by club president John Law accompanied by fellow member Peter Love. Said Peter: “This is Rotary’s way of saying thank you for the hard work and dedication of local Covid frontline staff during the challenging and difficult last 12 months.”
Julia Clarke, Director of Corporate Services at the Trust, said: “We are delighted to receive the packets of M&Ms for our teams, it is such a morale booster to receive support from our communities. I know everyone at the Trust would like to thank Rotary for this most generous and thoughtful gift.
