Rotary members spent most of their last meeting preparing envelopes for the forthcoming popular Tree of Light campaign in Shrewsbury.
Nearly one thousand letters have been prepared by Shrewsbury Severn Rotary Club and once again these will be posted by Dyke Yaxley Chartered Accountants as a gift to the club.
“We are indebted to Dyke Yaxley for this most generous gift,” said club secretary Gareth Watkins.
Three charities, Midlands Air Ambulance, Barnabas Foodbank PLUS and The Ark will benefit from the 2023 Tree of Light proceeds which last year amounted to £7,500.
Once again the Shropshire Star and Shrewsbury Chronicle will assist the Tree of Light fundraising campaign by publishing the names of donors and their dedications.
“The publication of donors is greatly valued by individuals and fully appreciated by Rotary,” added Gareth.
