Santa takes a break from helping to build a new sleigh. He is amongst a team working daily to provide Shrewsbury Severn Rotary Club with a revolutionary ski sleigh in time for an extensive programme of Christmas activities.
Despite experiencing a number of unexpected setbacks, the volunteer team of members is determined to complete the project within what is now a very tight timeframe. Said Shrewsbury Severn Rotary Club president David Morris: “Members are pulling out all the stops to have the new sleigh ready to take to the road early this coming week. It really has become a race against the clock to complete the new sleigh on time and we can assure supporters that it won’t be for the want of trying if we don’t quite make it. I am an optimist and, in a worst-case scenario, I am hoping that the arrival of the new sleigh for the public to admire will not be delayed any longer than a few days at most.”
He added: “We shall also take every means to keep our many supporters and enthusiasts regularly updated on progress.”
