MIDLANDS AIR AMBULANCE ‘ROLLED OVER’ FOR SECOND TREE OF LIGHT FUNDING

A regional charity has been selected for a second year and two local charities which also serve the community will benefit from the 2023 Rotary Tree of Light in Shrewsbury. Midlands Air Ambulance will be joined by Barnabas Foodbank PLUS and The Ark in sharing the total funds which Shrewsbury Severn Rotary Club will generate through this year’s Tree of Light donations.

Rotary has decided that one of the three Tree of Light beneficiaries from 2022 should be rolled over for a second year. It is the turn of Midlands Air Ambulance to benefit. They received a donation of £2,500 from last year’s fundraiser – an amount Shrewsbury Severn Rotary Club hope will be repeated or even bettered in 2023.

Members of the club will shortly be devoting one of their meetings to stuffing envelopes with the relevant Tree of Light information for posting to supporters.

Anyone who isn’t an existing donor but would like to make a £5 donation for a light in memory of a loved one can contact gdmw@hotmail.co.uk or telephone 01743 359636.
