Shrewsbury Severn Rotary Club launched its new banner at the first of Shrewsbury Colleges Group Student Induction Festivals.
Members of the club manned a stand at the three events covering the London Road, Welsh Bridge and English Bridge campuses.
As a first step to joining Rotary, students under 18 at the three campuses were being invited to consider starting a Rotary Community Corps which would be sponsored by Shrewsbury Severn Rotary Club.
A total of more than 12,000 Rotary Community Corps are active everywhere Rotary is present in both developed and developing countries.
Ideas that a local Rotary Community Corps could pursue were fed to students at the festivals and Shrewsbury Severn Rotary Club looks forward to a response in due course.
