A ROTARY DONATION WHICH WILL HELP UKRAINIAN REFUGEES

Ukrainian refugees fleeing to Romania will benefit from a local Rotary club’s donation to ‘Operation Sabre’.

Under the Operation Sabre banner, Shropshire Firefighters are being given £750 by Shrewsbury Severn Rotary Club to support a Romanian orphanage which will also provide support for Ukrainian refugees.

Shropshire Firefighters are looking to purchase two minibuses, fill them with supplies and drive them to Romania for ongoing use by an orphanage. The orphanage specialises in care for ‘life limited’ children and members of Shrewsbury Severn Rotary Club heard the project would also benefit refugees in Romania.

The club has previously supported Operation Sabre and one of its recently retired members, who requested a further donation be made to Operation Sabre, has actually visited Romania with Shropshire Firefighters.
