Shrewsbury’s ‘Tree of Light’

Shrewsbury’s Rotary Clubs and our sponsored charities would like to thank you for your participation in the Shrewsbury ‘Tree of Light’ Programme in past years and invite your continuing support in the nineteenth year of this Christmas tradition.

Last year the ‘Tree of Light’ raised more than £5,900 for the sponsored charities, whilst making a total of almost £130,000 raised since the inception of the programme. This year’s profits will again be donated equally between the following local charities:

This year, once again, thanks to generous sponsorship, the ‘Tree of Light’ will be situated in the Bell Tower of St Mary’s Church and again illuminated with Christmas lights commemorating loved ones.

Sponsors, like yourself, are invited to sponsor one or more lights in memory of a particular cause or a dearly departed loved one. These names will be published in the Shrewsbury Chronicle and displayed near the tree. Christmas lights can be sponsored through a minimum donation of £5 per light.

Thanking you for your continued support and wishing you and your family a happy and peaceful Christmas and New Year.

Sponsors

The Three Shrewsbury Rotary Clubs, Shrewsbury, Shrewsbury Severn and Shrewsbury Darwin would like to thank everyone who has donated to the Tree of Light and in particular the following sponsors for helping to make the Tree of Light possible.
